Pre & Post Tanning Appointment Information

• ARRIVE WITH COMPLETELY CLEAN SKIN
• NO DEODORANT
• NO MOISTURISERS

Before your tan:

• Wax and/or shave your body as required at least 2 days before your tan, to avoid tan settling in your pores or appearing streaky.
• Exfoliate your entire body the night before your spray tan, this helps your tan last longer and fade evenly.
• Do not have a hot shower prior to arriving for your tan, this will cause tan to settle in your opened pores. For best results, finish your pre-tan shower with a cold rinse to close your pores.
• Avoid facials within a day before your tan, to avoid any potential peeling or flaking causing an uneven tan.

On the day:

On the day of your tan we recommend the following:

• Arrive with no makeup on, to avoid an uneven tan.
• Do not apply deodorant or antiperspirant the day of your tan. The aluminum makes your underarms turn green with a spray tan, which can stay for a few days (eek!!)
• Please wear loose, preferably black clothing to your appointment. We recommend wearing no bra as the rubbing and friction can cause bra lines in your tan.

Caring for your tan:

Your aftercare instructions will be emailed to you after your appointment.

• Wash your hands 1 hour after your spray. Avoiding getting other areas when.
• Do not use soap for your first rinse.
• Wait at least 2 hours (up to 4-6 hours) before you rinse off.
• We recommend a luke warm shower, applying medium pressure with your hand to wash off the cosmetic bronzer on your skin.

Please follow your therapists advice on the length of time to leave your tan on before showering.
