What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is a proven method of removing individual hairs from the face. Today's medical electrolysis devices destroy the growth center of the hair with chemical or heat energy. After a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, and the hair is removed with tweezers. Most areas of the body can be treated with Electrolysis, but most commonly the hormonal facial hairs that laser cannot target are the ideal treatment areas.

How many treatments will I need?
This is a hard question to answer as each person has a different growth pattern. It also depends how long the hair has been there and also the method that has been used previously to remove the hair prior to starting this treatment.
Many factors influence hair growth, so you will need to return for several electrolysis visits. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person. Most clients return once a week or every other week as needed. But the unwanted hair will be gone forever once the series of treatments is complete. Each treatment lasts between 15 and 45 minutes. We recommend smaller treatments more often for a better result with less recovery time.

We offer an obligation free assessment of the affected area, to help you decide on the appropriate method of hair removal to suit your individual needs. Just call us to arrange a time.

Prices include complimentary consultation and disposable needle used for every treatment.

What to Expect
After electrolysis, your treated skin may temporarily be red, swollen, and tender. In some cases bruising may occur, or pimple like pustules can form. You will need additional treatments to permanently remove all unwanted hair. You should notice a loss of unwanted hair in the treated area within several weeks to months after the first treatment.
